DALLAS, TEXAS -- The SMU Football team continued its preparation for Saturday's home-opener versus TCU, holding a two-hour workout in shells on the Mustangs' practice field late Thurssday afternoon in the shadows of Gerald J. Ford Stadium.
The later portions of practice were spent going against the scout teams, which emulated TCU's offense and defense, and the execution of the Ponies' offense and defense.
SMU linebacker Vic Viloria said the team will be ready come Saturday.
"It doesn't get any bigger than playing your cross-town rival," he said. "We remember what happened last year and we will be ready to play."
The Mustangs will continue preparations on Friday. Kickoff for Saturday's game is set for 6:00 p.m.
