SMU Continues Work for Navy

Dallas, Texas -- The SMU Mustangs continued preparations for Saturday's season-opener against Navy with a two-and-a-half hour practice in full pads on Tuesday afternoon at the Pettus Practice Fields. The Ponies worked against their scout teams and also spent time working on special teams play.

"It was a good workout today," said SMU's Phil Bennett, who will be making his head coaching debut on Saturday. "We were focused and intense. I want to see that from our guys the rest of the week."

The Mustangs will practice again Wednesday and Thursday. Kickoff for Saturday's game is set for 7:00 p.m.
