Lafayette, La. (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team is tied for fifth following the opening two rounds of the Louisiana Classics Golf Tournament at the Oakbourne Country Club. SMU has won the event in four of the last five seasons.

Individually, Colt Knost leads SMU at 7-under 137 and is tied for second. Scott Barton is tied for 15th at 1-under 143 while Brandon DeStefano and Scott Sikes are tied for 38th at 3-over 147. Frank Wrenn rounds out the SMU squad at 8-over 152 and is tied for 58th.
