Lafayette, La. (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team finished fourth at the Louisiana Classics Golf Tournament at the Oakbourne Country Club on Tuesday, finishing at 862 after carding rounds of 288, 285 and 289. SMU had won the event in four of the last five seasons.

Colt Knost again led the SMU squad, finishing third at 5-under 209 after shooting 67-70-72. Scott Barton (73-70-72) and Brandon DeStefano (76-71-69) also claimed top-20 finishes, finishing 15th and 18th, respectively. Scott Sikes (73-74-76) tied for 41st and Frank Wrenn (75-77-76), following up his John Burns win from a week ago, tied for 61st. SMU's Brian Ricketts (72-76-77), playing as an individual, tied for 48th.
