DALLAS (SMU) - Looking to lock up their first bowl berth since 1984 and snap the nation's fourth-longest bowl drought, the SMU Mustangs host the Tulane Green Wave in the regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m.
SMU will honor its seniors - Josh Bryant, Tim Crosby, Kellis Cunningham, Rock Dennis, Mitch Enright, Bryce Hudman, Chase Kennemer, Bryan McCann, A'Darius Medford, Chris Parham, Emmanuel Sanders and Zach Zimmerman - in a post-game ceremony.
Fans will also have a chance to see three individual records set as well.
Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders ranks as SMU's all-time leader in career catches (272), TD catches (33) and yards (3,523) and single-season (85) and single-game (18) receptions. With 60 yards receiving against Tulane, Sanders would also pass Jerry LeVias (1,131) for single-season yardage.
SMU back Shawnbrey McNeal has rushed for 978 yards this season - almost twice as many as SMU rushed for as a team in 2008 (497). McNeal needs just 22 yards to become the first collegiate back to rush for 1,000 yards under June Jones and SMU's first 1,000-yard rusher since 2003 (Keylon Kincade - 1,280) .
Mustang defensive end Margus Hunt has set a new SMU record with seven blocked kicks in 2009 and is within one of the NCAA single-season record (8, by three players).
SMU and Tulane have met 17 times with the Green Wave holding a 12-5 series edge. Tulane has also won seven of the last eight meetings.
