No. 21 SMU (3-2) travels to Army and Dartmouth to take on the Black Knights and the Big Green this weekend. The Mustangs face Army Thursday at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT before taking on Dartmouth Saturday at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT.

The Black Knights are hoping to break their three-match losing skid versus SMU. Army dropped to Loyola Marymount 4-2 last Sunday after falling to Yale and Furman on Saturday. The preseason Patriot League champions selection are 2-3 for the season after opening the season with wins over Sacred Heart and Marist College.

SMU and Army are meeting for only the second time. The Mustangs are looking to remain unbeaten in the series. The first meeting occurred in April 2006 with the Mustangs winning the match 7-0 in Dallas, Texas.

The Big Green are currently 2-4 with wins over Bryant and Binghamton. Two of Dartmouth's four losses have come in 4-3 decisions as the Big Green barely fell to Minnesota and Iowa last week.

MUSTANGS REMAIN IN THE ITA TOP-25
The SMU men's tennis team is ranked No. 21 in the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) top-25 rankings, released this week (Feb. 8). This is the third week the Mustangs have been ranked in the top-25 after receiving votes the first two weeks of the spring season.
The last time out, SMU (3-2) beat [RV] Ole Miss in a nailbiting,4-3, finish in the opening round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend in College Station, Texas before falling to No. 21 Baylor, 4-0, in the title match.
STANGS RISIN'
Since breaking into the top-25 rankings in week three (Jan. 25), SMU has risen one place in the rankings each week as they now sit at No. 21. Hunter Johnson leads the team with the best overall singles record (3-1) and broke into singles rankings this week, deemed the No. 44 singles player in the nation. After beating the No. 3 singles player in the nation Jan. 20, Ronald Slobodchikov also broke into the singles rankings this week, holding the No. 49 spot. Hunter Johnson and Yates Johnson are also ranked as the No. 39 doubles team in the nation as of this week.

The Mustangs are one of two American Athletic Conference teams in the ITA top-25 rankings or receiving votes this week. SMU sits at No. 21, while Tulane is receiving votes.
