DALLAS – SMU men's tennis defeated Corpus Christi 7-0 in today's morning dual match at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex. The Mustangs improve their record to 4-3, while the Islanders fall to 8-3. SMU has won four of its five home matches this season.

The Mustangs got off to a fast start, winning all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. Liam Krall and Pranav Kumar took No. 3 doubles 6-1 before Julian Steinhausen and Huntley Allen in No. 2 (6-1) and Ivan Thamma and Adam Neff in No. 1 (6-3) finished the job.

Krall got singles going with a decisive 6-2, 6-1 win in the No. 1 spot. With this win, Krall improves to 2-0 in the No. 1 position this year (5-1 overall in dual matches).

Neff continued his hot streak in singles, winning in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. This was Neff's second match playing No. 2 singles this season (2-0). Neff's doubles partner, Thamma, also put a win in the books, taking the No. 3 spot 6-4, 6-4 to clinch the overall match for the Mustangs.

Kumar improved his dual record to 3-2, taking No. 4 singles 6-3, 6-3 for SMU. Captain Jordi Redelijk took the No. 5 spot 6-3, 6-4 for his second dual win (2-1). Freshman Louis Cloud concluded the day for the Mustangs with a 6-2, 6-2 victory in the No. 6 spot.

The Mustangs did not drop any sets for the third time in dual play this season.
 
Win Streaks
Adam Neff has now won five matches in a row. He is undefeated in singles dual matches this season and has not yet dropped a single set.

Next Time Out
The Mustangs are back in action on Sunday, February 20 at 12:00 p.m. as they travel to take on Nebraska. The Cornhuskers currently stand at 2-3 with losses to No. 2 Baylor and No. 24 Oklahoma.
