400 Medley Relay
In the 400 medley relay, SMU claimed two podium finishes. The squad of Jack Berube, Kristaps Mikelsons, Nico Sobenes and Benjamin Chateigner touched the wall in 3:10.28 to earn second. With a time of 3:12.62, Thad Austin, Joe Umhofer, Sage Sungail and Francis Brennan nabbed third place.
1650 Free
Jack Forrest earned second place for the Mustangs in the 1650 free, recording a time of 15:24.48. Mark Van Eybergen posted a time of 15:26.39 to finish fourth. Leonardo Pelaez followed with a 15:29.25 to secure fifth.
100 Back
In the 100 back, Jack Berube finished third, recording a time of 47.73. Andy Baklanov touched the wall in 48.58 to place sixth. Thad Austin earned a time of 48.63 and in an exhibition, Nico Sobenes posted a 49.48.
100 Breast
Kristaps Mikelsons earned the victory in the 100 breast, throwing down a time of 54.05. Joe Umhofer also found the podium, placing third with a 54.73. Freshman Trey Clervi recorded a time of 55.73 and in an exhibition, Ewan Lonergan touched the wall in 57.61.
200 Fly
Ben Longeway found the podium in the 200 fly, placing third with a time of 1:47.65. Ryan Peckham followed closely behind with a time of 1:47.77. Freshman Zach Power recorded a time of 1:50.30 and in an exhibition, Nico Sobenes finished with a time of 1:53.41.
100 Free
In the 100 free, Benjamin Chateigner earned third place, touching the wall in 43.08. This time places him seventh on the SMU All-Time Top Performers list. Captain Sage Sungail posted a time of 43.79 and Francis Brennan finished in 43.84. In an exhibition, George Gonzalez recorded a time of 44.53 and Eli Likins earned a 44.47. Aubrey Jaya and Cameron Thompson also swam in an exhibition, posting times of 45.07 and 45.78, respectively.
200 IM
Jack Moore finished second in the 200 IM after recording a time of 1:48.24. Kristaps Mikelsons touched the wall in 1:48.87 to earn fourth. Andy Baklanov posted a time of 1:49.20 and in an exhibition, Aidan Arie put up a time of 1:51.21.
200 Free Relay
In the 200 free relay, the squad of Benjamin Chateigner, Harold Lockhart, Thad Austin and Sage Sungail secured points for the Mustangs, finishing second with a time of 1:19.34. In 1:21.21, the team of George Gonzalez, Cameron Thompson, Eli Likins and Francis Brennan touched the wall and placed fifth.
3-Meter Diving
Sophomore Luke Sitz secured his third consecutive podium finish on 3-meter, finishing second with a 337.05 mark. Grant Cates earned a score of 307.85 to place fifth. John Dymond put up a mark of 298.20 and in an exhibition, RJ Snyder recorded a score of 277.05.

The Mustangs will be back at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center on Friday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. CT to take on Arizona and TCU in the second day of competition.
