STANFORD, Calif. (SMU) – SMU Men's Soccer heads to No. 7 Stanford for its ACC Championship quarterfinals match on Sunday.

This will be SMU's second trip to Stanford within two weeks. The match will kick off at 7 pm CT and will be aired on ACCN.

The Mustangs advanced in the tournament after defeating Wake Forest 5-4 in the highest-scoring ACC Championship match in history.

Mustangs vs. Cardinal History
  • This will be the 13th meeting between SMU and Stanford. Sixth meeting in Stanford, California.
  • The two teams were locked in a 0-0 draw the last time they played against each other on Oct. 26. It was their first-ever draw at Stanford.
  • The previous two meetings between SMU and Stanford have ended in a tie.
  • The last time SMU won at Stanford was in 2000 when the Mustangs won 2-1 against No. 6 Stanford to make the College Cup. Head Coach Kevin Hudson was on that SMU team as a freshman.
Unfinished Business
  • SMU tied the then top-ranked Stanford 0-0 at Cagan Stadium on Oct. 26.
  • The Mustangs became the first team to draw Stanford at Cagan Stadium this season. First to take a point in ACC play at Stanford this season.

SMU vs Wake Notes
