ST. LOUIS (SMU) — No. 5 SMU Men's Soccer fell 1-0 to Saint Louis despite being on the front foot for 90 minutes at Hermann Stadium in Saint Louis, Missouri, on Sunday.
Saint Louis took the win by defending a goal lead from the 13
th minute of the first half.
The Mustangs outscored the Bilikens 14 to seven and saw some good chances, but the hosts' defense was unbreached.

The first half started sporadically as both sides were tussling for control over the match, but the hosts came out on top by taking the first lead in the 13
th minute.
SLU's Andrew Heckenlaible found the net with a shot inside the penalty box after beating his defenders.
SMU stayed on the offensive and registered 10 shots in the first half, but the scoreline remained 1-0 for the Bilikens.
The Mustangs remained in control in the second half. They saw multiple chances from
Milton Lopez but fell short of finding the net.
The match ended 1-0 for Saint Louis.
