Emily Odwin occupies fifth place as the Mustangs sit in 11th place as a team after round one of the Briars Creek Invitational.

The tournament, originally scheduled for 36 holes on Monday, was shortened to two days of 18 holes because of weather. Facing a field of six ranked teams among the 15 teams in the field, the Mustangs shot eight over in round one. They sit alone in 11th. Boston College leads the way at 13-under par.

Odwin shot three-under 69 to hold a share of fifth place. The senior carded six birdies including five in an eight-hole stretch. The Barbados native has her season scoring average down to 72.30, tops on the team. The round marked her 12
th round of par or better this season.

Celine Chen shot two-over 74. She tallied just two bogeys on the day on her way to a spot in the top 36.
Mackenzie Lee carded a 75 on Monday to sit in 52nd. She tallied three birdies on her day giving her 468 for her career, exactly 100 more than the next best in program history.

Kirra St-Laurent carded a 78 and sits in 73
rd while
Yoonjeong Huh shot an 81 to occupy 81
st.

Grace Jin shot a 75 to hold a share of 52
nd.

The second and final round is slated for Tuesday from the Golf Club at Briars Creek.
