BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (SMU) -- The Mustangs competed at Texas A&M's 44 Farms Team Invitational this weekend, and Kirin Chacchia came away with a personal best. She ran 57.27 to win the 400-meter hurdles and lower her school record.
Also, in day one in the 200, Jasmine Franklin ran 24.21, Ariana Sutton ran 24.32 and Haylie Donovan ran 24.55.
To kick off day two, Renee Finke and Brentley Preston competed in the javelin and shot put. Preston came away with personal bests in both events – throwing 26.19 meters in the javelin and 8.97 meters in the shot put.
Nea Sanders ran 13.61 in the 100-meter hurdles, and Jasmine Franklin ran 11.78 in the 100. In the 400, Magnolia Crissup ran 55.77.
The Mustangs have the Bryan Clay Invite next on the schedule in Azusa on April 16-18.
