Results 

AZUSA, Calif. (SMU) -- The Mustangs came away from the Bryan Clay Invitational with ten new personal bests and four top ten performances in SMU history after three days of competition. 

Macey Hilton again lowered her time in both the 800 and 1,500. She sits second in both events in SMU history. Hilton ran 2:04.89 in the 800 Invitational and 4:16.73 in the 1,500 Invitational. She has met the conference standards to compete in both at the ACC Championship. 

Lotta Edzards moved up to fourth in SMU history in the triple jump after her performance this weekend. She jumped 13.05 meters for second in the invitational event. The freshman is ranked seventh in the conference. Hedda Kvalvag and Lily Muzzy placed seventh and eighth in the event. 

In a late-night race on Friday, Carolina Correia had a personal best in the 5,000 of 16:22.19. She is ninth in SMU history in the event. 

Cleo Martin-Evans placed second in the long jump invitational with a mark of 6.46 meters. In the open event, it was season bests and personal bests all around. Lily Muzzy had a PR with5.55 meters.  Renee Finke jumped 5.35 meters – her best this season. Brentley Preston had a PR of 5.32 meters. 

Preston also had personal bests in the high jump with 1.63 meters and shot put with 9.22 meters. 

Elizabeth Smits and Correia both had personal bests as well in the 1,500. Smits placed seventh in the Open B event with 4:29.51. Correia ran 4:30.36. 

The team will compete next weekend at Baylor and Stanford.
