BOSTON, Mass. (SMU) ā The Mustangs closed out the 2026 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a new school record in the 4x400.
The relay made up of Haylie Donovan, Kirin Chacchia, Magnolia Crissup, and Ariana Sutton ran a time of 3:37.47 ā becoming the new SMU record holders in the event. They placed sixth in the competition to earn All-ACC Second Team honors.
Nea Sanders ran 8.38 to place seventh in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles and put points on the board.Ā
Freshman Lotta Edzards picks up a point for the Mustangs with an eighth-place finish in triple jump. She posted a mark of 12.74m.
In the mile finals, Macey Hilton ran 4:41.76 to place tenth. In the 3,000, she ran 9:25.35 and Elizabeth Smits ran 9:38.24.
SMU ended up 16th with 17 points.
"This group moved the program forward," Head Coach A'Havahla Haynes said. "We outperformed last year's total and raised our competitive standard. The next step is sharpen the details and compete with total clarity. Our trajectory is strong."
The team's outdoor season will begin on March 20-21 at TCU.
