ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. / BOSTON, Mass. (SMU) — Two new program records were set for the Mustangs as they competed in two different states this weekend in addition to 11 personal best performances.

In New Mexico, Nea Sanders became the new school record holder in the 60-meter hurdles. She ran 8.40 for a personal best and to qualify for finals. Kirin Chacchia tied the second-fastest time in program history, running 8.44. Renee Finke now sits eighth all time with a time of 8.75. In finals, Sanders ran 8.44.

Jasmine Franklin had a stand-out weekend with two Top-10 performances and personal bests in both the 60 and the 200. In the 60, she ran 7.66 seconds and now sits eighth in program history. She is also now eighth for SMU in the 200 with a time of 24.28.

In Boston, the Distance Medley Relay kicked off meet day with the 10th fastest DMR time in SMU history. Isabel Breaux, Macey Hilton, Lena Suchowolak, and Paulina Kicilinska ran 11:43.17 to place second in the competition. 

The mile brought Hilton a new personal best time and lowered her school record. She ran 4:36.79 — a personal best by nearly five seconds from when she set the school record earlier this season.

In the 3,000, Elizabeth Smits ran a personal best time of 9:37.88. Both Mustangs in the 5,000 also ran their best times yet. Carolina Correia ran 16:26.59 and Ruby Little ran 16:48.24.

Up next on the Mustang's schedule is the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 26-28.
